An incident where any other identifiable reason which is not included in the nationally monitored strands is the motivation for prejudice or discrimination.
This can include being targeted for your gender (female/male), body shape or size, hair colour, targeting sex offenders, sex workers, the homeless or street drinkers, financial status or political views.
No two hate incidents are the same but they may include the following:
· Verbal abuse and name-calling
· Physical attack
· Graffiti or other deliberate damage to property
· Written or recorded threats
· Cyber Bullying
